Director Bio
Tang Yi moved to the United States from Hong Kong after being admitted to the NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned an MFA in film. She won the Palme d’or Short Film Award at the Cannes Film Festival 2021 for All the Crows in the World. Yi enjoys telling stories about women, underrepresented groups and social issues through a subversive and darkly comedic lens.
